Police have charged a 50-year-old man with assault following the discovery of a woman’s body in Papatoetoe on Saturday morning.
Counties Manukau West Manager Detective Senior Sergeant Michael Hayward said officers were called to an Ashlynne Avenue address at around 10.30am.
A scene examination is under way today, and a post-mortem is scheduled for tomorrow as enquiries into the circumstances continue.
The man is due to appear in Manukau District Court on Monday.
