A woman is in hospital with serious injuries following an alleged stabbing in the Auckland suburb of Māngere Bridge on Monday morning.
Emergency services were called to a residential property on Whanui Place shortly after 8am, where police found a woman with injuries consistent with stab wounds. She was treated at the scene and transported to Middlemore Hospital by St John in a serious condition.
Police confirmed a man was arrested at the scene. Ten police vehicles, including dog units, were reported in the area, with Whanui Place cordoned off as officers carried out their investigation.
A police spokesperson said the investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing.
